England Team Selection 2025

We attended the 2025 England Retriever Selection by kind invitation of the team Captain David Latham.

David Latham - a modern great and one of the best ever to do it, has been team Captain for 10 years now. What an incredible job he has done at the highest level of International Gundog Tests. The captaincy is up for change this year with potential new Captains being considered. God luck to the new or returning skipper.

A new ground near Burton-On-Trent was the location for the Selection with 25 of the best English dogs and handlers invited to compete for a place on the team.

3 tests, each of which had 3 demanding retrieves really tested the dogs at distance, in tight technical set ups and over water.

After a really demanding day - I was delighted that Harley was picked for the team this year. It’s the 3rd year he’s made the team and what a dog he’s proven to be. We are very grateful for the opportunity and thank everyone who has supported us.

Now onto the International Tests against some of the best dogs and handlers in Europe.
